    cnc design mathematics

I am currently working on lots of projects, but lack knowledge of the math required to calculate certain things i want to know more about.. Specifically....

really, i want to know more in general, i dont know exactly what the most important values are.. but Specifically....

How to calculate load at spindle tool mount.

How to calculate load at various axial mouting points

    ..

i am trying to figure out how to use the datahseets of the linear components i have(nsk, igus). they are metric, and they are not for people who dont know what "moment" is.. although i may have infered that its force that is required to overcome a stationary position..

HELP? anyone? where shouldi look? should i just read the archives here?

You can find some help in calculating loads in the solid mechanics section of efunda.com.

Moment is a twisting force (torque). Measured in inch-pounds (or kg-m).

For converting from units based on human limbs to the modern world go to:
    http://www.joshmadison.com/software/
Then download his conversion program. It does'nt do furlongs/forthnight to metric, but almost everything else.
