    Newbie needs help with his spindlespeed

    Dear fellow CNC enthousiasts,

    Recently I picked up a Colinbus CLR2513 cnc wood router. Really nice machine and got it for a good price I think.

    Now I’m running into a serious problem;
    Whatever I try in my software(aspire) I can’t stop the spindle from spinning. I want to use a drag knife but this is not working at the moment.
    My goal is to fix this in the program/software, but I’m willing to resort to external switching.
    It’s a Giordano Colombo 90/22 spindle with a Hitachi SJ200 VFD.
    I’m running software called Colidrive, it’s not supported anymore because the firm went bankrupt in 2015. And to make things more interesting the G-code doesn’t really look like your typical G-code, So adding M05 in the mix is not an option. Well that’s it so far, I hope someone can help me get on the right path.

    Kind regards,

    Justus

    In your G-code, and in the post that writes it, there's a command to turn the spindle on. Usually it's M3, or M03, but if your machine uses a different code system, it might be something else. What postprocessor is Aspire using to write code for this thing?

    Hi, thanks for reaching out!

    The PP is Colinbus ATC mm. I’ll check if I can include a screenshot of the text file.

    Kind regards, Justus
