    Limit Switches

Ok I am about to hook up some limit switches on my Taig Mill using a Gecko 540 but when going through my stash only found 3 CEMCO NO NC limit swiches. I figure 2 per axis so I need a few more. Searched on ebay s where I got these several months ago and only find NO switches. In the Gecko schematics I am showing use of NC switches. Anyone have a lead on switches at a reasonable price.

Go to this ebay seller for NC switches. Very good deal. You can hook everyone of them in series. As one is triggered, the whole system will stop.

    Smile P.S.

    Three would be enough.

They can be configured for home and limit in Mach3

Then you would set up a soft limit in Mach3 for the opposite direction.

That would save a bunch of wiring and the need for extra inputs.

Well looks as is I have plenty of time to work on the limits. I have to return the bad ps and apparently I will have to wait for standard shipping to get it replaced...

Place the switch on the moving axis, and ramps on the ends. When the axis moves to the end of the travel, the ramp will activate the switch. If you look here http://www.cnczone.com/gallery/showp...0/ppuser/16849 you can get an idea of how I set it up on my Shoptask. Hope this helps.

I did not get a chance to install the switches today I did a lot of cleanup and positioned my pc under the benchtop and mounted my LCD TV Monitor and Uverse TV Box So between jobs I can enjoy 400 channels of TV some of which are HDTV The TV has a VGA in so I can swap to PC View
