I'm trying to create a model with many branched swept paths sort of like a vine. Is this possible in Solidworks 2008? I'm thinking it is but need a nudge in the right direction.
Many thanks,
John

sure, you'll have to do two sweeps but thats not a big deal![]()

Thanks JerryFlyGuy,
I've created several sweeps but finding it difficult to mate them into the vine that I'm trying to model so I just align them and fix them in place. It works but its tedious.

Sounds like you need to use sketch entities or planes as mate references in your assembly. Maybe if you post your file you'll get more information.
Are you modeling this as a single part or an assembly? You shouldn't need to 'fix' anything if it's a part model [which is how I'd do it] it will be fixed by the nature of the sketch. If your doing solid sweeps then you should be able to join the various parts w/ merge or combine functions [merge is in the 'sweep' dialoge box].
