You should probably list what model machines.... Your posting only narrows it down to a couple dozen machines... Posts will vary greatly ...
Besides, V9 is pretty easy to tweak starting from the generic ones on the CD. Do you have something close you just need adjusted?
It's just a part..... cutter still goes round and round....
both machines are VCN's. I have been using my 3 axis post which works on both machines, and manually adding in 4th and 5 axis positioning. Now I have a need for full 4th and 5th axis milling and need a post to work with. I supposed I could tweak a generic 5 axis post but I havent done any post editing in several years and dont remember where to begin!
alliedm, not intending to hijack here, but I could also use a post for the 640M with a 4th axis. I talked to the MCam dealer, they want a lot of money for a post I can make myself. I just purchased a VTC-20B for myself and the company I work for has MCAM X2. I cant really afford my own version of mcam, and the company has no problem letting me use it.
Anything to get me going as I have no manuals with the machine.
Thanks
Pat
Trunnion 4th and 5th so a Variaxis type post will work. Minght find someone willing to give one them up... Think I've even tweaked a FANUC 5X generic in the past. Haven't done one for MCX though... not enough time and easier to buy it. Most people put too much work into a post to hand out but are willing to help you modify...
