    EDM plunge, or rotary broch

I need a hex for a 3/8" allen wrench burned or broched in the face of a titanium 1/2-20 allen head style screw that is 2.750" long under the head. Im trying to see what it will cost me to get 70pcs burned or broched approx .250-.275" deep. Material is titanium grade 5 6AL-4V. Just looking for pricing right now, project isnt at this stage quite yet. email quotes to [email protected]

    looks like this.

Are you supplying some sort of blanks? That is what your wording implies.

Have you heard of Hi-loks? They're aircraft fasteners, basically a bolt with the hex on the end of the shank rather than in the head. Their usual application is with a nut-like collar, you hold the pin from moving with an allen key and wrench the driving part of the collar off to set the pre-load consistently.

Anyway, the point is, they might have part number for a pin substantially similar to what you're making there, ready to use out of the wrapper.

Have you sourced these fasteners? We could help you. These fasteners looks like automobile fasteners.
