Could someone get me up to speed on engraving text around a cylinder with G107 and G47?
I would like to use "g47 P1 (###) " to engrave sequential serial numbers around 2" diameter tubes
I am familiar with engraving and am in hopes it can be wrapped

Have you read your manual? Any linear axis can be cylindrically mapped to any rotary axis (one at a time).
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.
I have and was hoping for a simple example , I am just a little fuzzy on how the g107 line should be written
If my current g47 line reads as follows , what would the g107 line before it read ?
G47 P1 X9.5 Y0.0 I90. J.15 R.05 Z-.01 F20. E4. (####)
Tube is 2" diameter , would it simply be G107 A0 X0 R1.
OK got it , the axis you want to swap to the A axis goes on the g107 line , some how that just didnt translate in the example in the manual, very simple now that I have a grasp.
