You can use a KB or Baldor SCR DC drive using the tach feedback, they have 0-10vdc analogue control for 2 quadrant or you can set up ±10vdc with the 4 quadrant model, this will also give you dynamic braking if you wish.
The 240vac model will work for this motor.

    Driver for Triac Spindle motor

    Thanks for the help

I have examined the existing driver for the spindle motor
There is a label "LYNX 08" "ANYSPEED NO. 097738" on the PCB
Other information:- Input 240/415v AC 12Amp
    Output 0-180v/0-320v DC 8Amp
    "LR57629"
Can I use this to control the motor
I can't find any circuit or instructions for this
    Can anyone help

A google turned up a Control Techniques manual, is this the one?

If it ran it before then it should work, you can replace the pot input with an analogue control.

    DEnford Triac Problems

    Hi Al
Thanks for the link you found to the Lynx drive manual
I attempted to run the motors following the instructions in the manual with no success.
The motor runs for a short while then the overload protection cuts in on the driver.
There are some differences between my driver and the one in the manual for instance mine has not dip switches but has a socket on the board.
I obviously need to look more deeply into the circuit if I am to get the motor working
    Thanks again for your help.
