Hello
I need info about turning eccentric shaft (camshaft) at OKUMA Multus machine.
If someone have experience with this type of turning, can you share some dummy NC program of this proccess?
Thank you in advance

hi, send cad file or technical drawing so to give you code
Hello
Sorry for delay.
Attached is shaft in STEP format.
Thank you again for you help.
hi, i can not open step. i know what it is, but i dont use that kind of software. please, just send a technical drawing of your excentric section. .... also, printscreen with all dimensions is enough ...
Drawing is attached in PDF format.
this is some kind of a start-up with excentric machining
Lary,
As deadlykitten says, you will unbalance your machine turning this part. I think you are going to want to mill this rather than turn it. It can be done by rotating your C-axis and timing it with your XYand Z axis. This will leave you with a rougher surface than turing, but I'm thinking it will be followed by a grinding process anyway, so it should not matter too much. Does your CAD system have the ability to perform this type of operation? It will output a series of short linear XYZC commands in order to generate the eccentric path.
Best regards,
This CAM turning is done with a CAM turning attachment not standard Gcode on a standard machine
