Some comments on the thoughts I built my machine on
the axis basements should have constant load distribution so I did not try to do any FEA calculation on this but just referred on "Steiner" for one cell
for the side parts I thought on what I leaned from bio mimetics but not based on a fully calculation ... I don't own ansys or any FEA Software license so I think the potential material cut of in a second optimization would be about 10 to20% the pure weighht on the Structure and lin tec as motors is about 30Kg
the COntroller Box including PC is about 1.0 KG .. Transportation case is about 2KG
A very costy possibility would be to setup the structure using lightweight carbon composite and to build this parts as a bagged foame core monocoque
but as Formula 1 parts are usualy calculated in the 1xxxxxx$ range the Machine cut down your bank account rapidly.
Machining requires stiffness so size and steadiness are two opposite directions in design when it coms to weight to be constant + size to be limited.
Why reach for speed, when you could have precision instead!!!
