They are as rare as hens teeth but I know a fella that's scrapping a machine and may be able to sell one if he hasn't already. Give me a day and I'll ask him tomorrow.
as far as can tell i have a control issue as soon as I try moving the axis (any inc spindle) the axis enable and control on relay drop out with no errors showing on any drives , spoke to hurco service and they seem to think its the DPS ?
cheers Bloke , appreciate that if you can
Jamie
What's the serial no. Of your machine? Or who did you get it from?
serial number is BN9-007-100 , got it from a guy down kent
Jez?
thats the guy mate , you know the machine then ?
Kingsnorth. Yep. Been there a few times. Nice bunch of lads.
Last thing I did to that was fix the orient sensor about 7 years back.
cheers Bloke , thaks for your time
Where are you then?
yea seem ok , i bought it with issues so just working my way through them , its cleaned up to be a nice machine just got to sort this motion control card problem out
im in north wales near Chester
Right. I'll have a word about the DSP tomorrow. What makes you sure that it's that causing your probs?
I had a word with the fella about the DSP and he does still have it.
When you start your servos, does the display on the drives change? It may even be that the limit switches are causing problems if they don't have a good connection to 24v or 0v. If you can slide back the covers to the X axis, press power on, reset servos and start and then see if you can turn the ballscrew by hand before trying to jog it.
thanks Bloke , dont like pestering you bud , yes the relay kicks in and I have all 3 phases of 200v to R,S,T on all servo amps but I will test that I have 24v dc at pin 7 later on and let you know ,
cheers
Jamie
latest tests , there are all the 24 v dc and all the 5v dc out of relay board so im assuming its the DSP board that must be at fault ? I have noticed we have 3 red led lights on the top of the DSP motion control board ??
cheers bloke,no the servo display remains the same (-.) can i link out each limit switch to test them ? what sort of money dose your guy need for that board
I'll ask him tomorrow. It sounds like your machine isn't coming out of base blocked mode.
