A break out board with a charge pump should work. But, I think you should have a way to remove power to the spindle when the PC is off.

right now i hate relays. so today i went and tried to go and fix the issue of it coming on when i turn the computer off. Well it started acting like my old relay. the spindle was speeding up and slowing down. i am unsure of why. the voltage going to the relay is consistant. and the voltage coming from the wall going to the relay is consistant. but the voltage coming out of the relay going to the spindle seems to vary. i am confused. this is driving me nuts.
As for the charge pump BOB. i do not want to change BOB since mine is already installed. is there a way to add one to my BOB?
What BOB?
How about this? http://www.cnc4pc.com/Safety_Charge_Pump.htm

i am unsure of what BOB. it is simple. There is no parts on it beside the parallel port and the blocks you screw the wires to.
