Question Removing Z axis way covers on Hurco VM1

One of my guys crashed a tool into the third way cover down on the Z axis and caused a big dent. I took out the three screws that secure the top cover to the neck but the cover still won't come down... what am I missing here? I ran a thin piece of shim stock around the seam (thinking it was glued in with sealant) and there are two spots on the sides that seem to extend up into the neck. How do I get this off without forcing it?

The covers that extend up the sides of the head are held on by a few M5 button heads and an M6 each side underneath. Yo could take those off to find the last two screws or pop the hole plugs at the bottom of the covers if you have them.
