    A 11 toolsteel

    Any suggestions on a tool that is fast and will last on roughing milling 5"×5"×5/8 deep A11?

    That's going t depend a lot on just what it is you are trying to do, and what you are trying to do it in ...

    Iscar makes some good 12 flute half inch endmills. Theyre better for 6Al4V though. I know M.A. Ford makes some good 7 flute half inch endmills as well.

    The biggest timesaver IMO is going to be if you can run a dynamic toolpath. You could go the full depth of cut at 5/8" with maybe a stepover percentage of 8 - 12%.

    Get some indexable end mills & run it at 18,000 rpm to increase tool life.
