    heidenhain tnc155 Touch probe

I have a heidenhain Tnc155 with my Storebro Combimill cnc. The probes for these are rare and Very expensive.

I love to hear from anyone who would know how to make a modern "run of the mill" touch probe work with this controller. Apparently the 155 system uses a proprietary adapter

One approach would be using a modern touch probe that outputs a standard signal (like the Renishaw or Blum types),
but you’d need to find or build an interface box that converts the probe’s signal to something the TNC 155 can read.
Some folks have had success with converting the probe’s output to a TTL signal or using an intermediary interface
    like a digital-to-analog converter (DAC).

    Re: heidenhain tnc155 Touch probe

I’m using a Heidenhain TNC155 on my BridgePort Series II CNC with a Renishaw MP10 touchprobe.
The TNC155 uses a proprietary interface and protocol which their original probes 110/120.
I’m working on a small emulator interface to connect the Renishaw output to the 155 but have not finishes it yet.

    Re: heidenhain tnc155 Touch probe

I've got a aliexpress probe working on the tnc151/155. Just need to get the M23 x 7pin plug for the back and connect all the wires up. Probe is wireless. There's MP's that need to be set that the manual explains. Have now got probing cycles in the programming to set the job up which is not parallel to the axis which is very nice.
I've also made a program to probe the table and send results to the computer to find the table is flat within 0.0015". Not bad for 40 year old Bridgeport Interact 1mk2 with TNC 151 (with eprom 6 from a tnc155 to enable the probing functions) I have copies of all 6 eproms stored on computer now.

    Wow this is interesting.
I have a Bridgeport Interact as well with originally a TNC150B unit, but replaced it with a TNC155 for having the touch capabilities. I'm using an Renishaw MP10 but did not succeed in getting everything connected together.
Where did you get the M23 connector and what pins did you use ? I assume the aliexpress touchprobe transmits TTL signals ? Do you have details on what probe you use ?
