Hi all,

I am trying to program a 4 axis part (A axis is perpendicular to the tool axis)

I have a round shaft and would like to cut a groove around it with complex curves ('snake' around the shaft).

I can't mill full tool diameter and so would like to create a single tool path for a small ball mill or engraving bit.

Have tried to use variable contour with streamline but can't select just the curve as a guide. Thought that maybe generic motion but can't find a follow curve type option for 4 axis.

Any ideas.
