Can't get much better value than CNC_Toolkit..

If you're looking at cost-effective 6 axis GCode generation then you don't get anything better than CNC_Toolkit.. full stop.. that's it... nothing beats it for VFM as a full commercial license currently cost about £100.00

You would need to design and model in MAX software.. like the free version of 3DSMAX called GMax.. but this IS excellent software.. and it's derived from Autodesk AutoCAD going way back to the early days of 3D... It has some limitations.. but these can be avoided without difficulty..

Part 1 and 2 of a brand new detailed user guide for CNC_Toolkit are out TODAY.. available as a free download from the yahoo group in my sig..

Rab Gordon, the creator of CNC_Toolkit has contributed suggestions and has approved the distribution. Part 3 covering the deployment and use of multi-axis rotary configurations is currently being developed and tested...

If you have any interest in GMax/CNC_Toolkit then it's worth a read, so feel free to pick up copy...
