    need help

    Hello all, looking for help
We have MH40 OKK WITH MITSIBISHI CONTROL, the tapping mode G84 not been recognized by the machine control. The synchronies tap in parameter is on, I am getting alarm p232 not sure what it is, since no manual book in place. If anyone had gone through this before, I also tried G84.2. /G84.1 Nothing happened.
Thanks in advance for any help
    Thanks
    Sam

Try taking synchro tapping off.You can program this control two ways for tapping: Rpm times pitch = feed in inches per minute or E for standard pitch or M for metric.Example: 1/2-13 tap E13 for M10 X1.5 M1.5. Never liked synched tapping with mitsubishi controls.

Try putting a G99 at the beginning of the tapping cycle:Ex.1/2 -13 one inch deep @ 100rpm

G99 G84 z- 1.R.3 F7.692S100 use R1 at the end for rigid tapping or leave it out if using a tapping head.
