    Smile lubricate ball screws

    What oil or grease should I use to lubricate ball screws (lead screws) on my cnc machine,or should I just run them dry.

    Well, are they ball screws or lead screws? Makes a difference.

    They are all ball screws one is rolled the other machined and polished

    You can use a lithium based greased with a viscosity of 30 to 140cSt.

    Shell Alvania S2 comes to mind for general applications.
