Hello! I actually built a blender 2.49b, and 2.62 for Windows! Version 2.49b works very stable. I've updated and added two new options that improve the geometry of the bas-relief, making it more like a 3D-model, rather than a stamp! Version 2.62 does not work stable, but I'm trying to fix all the bugs!

aues, good to hear that you have it working under the Windows OS, if you could get the 2.62 version stabilized that would be a big feather in the cap of all DIYers.

hhwxcb8mnm, That is awesome that you can do a conversion in less than 10 minutes, what would be even more awesome is if you would share your process with the CNC community.

Jasmin47, I cannot see the links or pics that are attached to your message.

Thank you all for your interest in this endeavour,
    Tom

    2.48... works just great..

    Dead Tom...

it works pretty good under 2.48....

I read at a russian forum that it can work under 2.62... but is very unstable.. and makes blender crash....

but works without these problems below 2.49.. and 2.48...

See the image below.... think it may need the tone-mapping parameter cranked up a bit... to soften the edge a bit more... Mesh is a free mesh.. so not perfect... but not bad either..

Hey Danny that looks good, sorry have not responded earlier as my wife and I were on holiday for our 28th anniversary. Well until a stable version of this patch shows up for version 2.62 I believe I will have to step back to version 2.48.
