So I am in the process of building. Going well so far.

So is it worth it to go ahead and order from Fine Line or would yall order from cncrouter.com? I contacted them and they quickly responded and said they could also help me with most of the same parts from Fine Line.
Man i wish i would have known that.
Wonder if they atleast have the fastener parts bundle?
FINELINE gets a lot of his parts from Ahren at CNCROUTERPARTS.com.
Might try them.
Bruce

Last week, nathan said my stuff would ship tuesday. I got the tracking number a week later. But, the stuff was here overnight. Alright.
So far so good. Spent the evening with my buddy putting it together. Til we discovered no low profile bearing block was included, nor was it listed on my packing sheet, though says on the site its included. This throws a wrench in my project. Ill be leaving a voicemail shortly. Man im NOT waiting another month! Especially for that kind of money! Also some of my couplers are missing set screws.
Other than that its been a fun straightforward project.
Are you talking about the lower bearing on the Z axis?
Don't need it. Works better without it. Did you see the video he has on assembling the Z?
Yup thats what i mean. I didnt see that vid, but if you're right thats a load off my mind.
Just thought it was odd i got washers/needle bearings for 6 blocks. I saw someone elses build that at first didnt have it, then later did. If it works better without, then hey awesome!
My machine has one it works great with it. You have the updated version I guess it is a cost savings..

Alright guys. After reading the reply i took my Z axis down to the machine shop, lopped off some to make it 14" and we're good to go. Motors came in, machine went together. Got a HobbyCNCPro board pretty cheap, and yea. Moves well! Gotta tune the motors in Mach3. So far im happy with it! Feel like i should heatsink the stepper drivers better than an aluminum piece.
Got the old school DOS Gamer joystick to control it already. Been fun!
Less drag on the motor. Easier to align. Fewer parts.
The bearing block help to keep it in line there is not enough drag to even notice this was just a way for Nate to save a few bucks...

Dunno, it was significant drag in mine (alignment maybe). He didn't drop the price, so, yeah, it saved him some bucks.
