Exclamation MAZAK macros / bolt circle

I was able to get macros working to create bolt hole circles and pocket milling for our Fanuc 16i controller.

We also have a Mazak Mazatrol CAM-M2 vertical milling machine. It operates in either G-code or the 'conversational' Mazatrol controls. It is able to create bolt circles and such in the Mazatrol format, but cannot be programmed in G-code to do it.

Are there any macros that exist, similar to that of the Fanuc, that can be used to allow the Mazak to work on bolt circle patterns in G-code?

    Thanks in advance.

When you say your macro "cannot be programmed in G-code" are you implying
that your macro failed to work, or that you do not have the EIA/ISO or User macro option?

When a Mazak has the option(s) for G-code and user macros, you should be able
to use a simple macro written for Fanuc without changes. The syntax and
logic methods are virtually identical, even down to certain system variables.

I believe you can also create a Macro in G-code, and call it up for use
    in the Mazatrol environment.

thanks for the reply. what i am learning as i go along is that it seems we do not have the macro option on this current machine due to its age. its a Mazatrol M2 controller original to 1986. if i try to create a program for the macro, i dont even have the option to enter the symbol "=". it appears i may need an upgrade which i am trying to gather some information about.

glad to hear that should be able to use the Fanuc macro on here once its able to read/write macros.
