Too many open vectors in that DXF file. It requires some major cleanup.

It will be a challenge none the less. I'm getting good results with aspire with the node edit mode. Creating seperate components. Im going to continue and use my final version that way its more personal. Ill upload a pic when I get it finished.

Here is a wood sign I did for a charity benefit. It took longer than I wanted to spend on it, but it looked nice.

I V-Carved the image into MDF and sprayed stencil ink into the pattern then sanded off the over spray.

    Locking device Advice needed?

This is a different type of request for ideas or links for what i need or drawings.
What i want to do is make a jewelry box lid and have a 3d carving (as a seperate piece) in the center of the lid. It would have a dowel in the center of it connected to a hole underneath it.
That would be connected to some type of latch device that would operate similar to a doorknob that would engage or disengage to allow the box to be opened. Just think of a regular doorknob with a longer latch on it. I hope the pictures illustrate what i'm trying to describe. The domed shape represents the 3d carving that would sit on the face of the lid and to open the box you would turn the carving one way or the other. Thanks for your help!

    myxpykalix,

I would go to the hobby store that sells R.C. plane parts. Pick up a bell crank and a few push rods or a piece of control rod and bend them yourself. Add a few springs to the contraption and your done.

    Hey Jalessi!
I went down to my local RC shop and of course they had nothing like what i needed. Do you have any links for that part you showed me? Or a distributor name? You got the picture from where?

Also go to eBay and do a search for "servo arm" you will find thousands of parts.
