    hrt210?

    Hi
I have a HRT210 brush type 4th axis on a VF0, had not used the 4th axis in a while and installed it the other day and kept getting a servo overload alarm and it seemed like the 4th axis would rotate to fast then trip the alarm.
    Never seemed to find home.
I change the air solenoid thinking it maybe be it but it did not work.
Where is the brake located and can this stick?
Though it may also be the encoder, is this on the back of the motor?
    Thanks!

Where you select the HRT-210 in the settings, try and select the other HRT-210 setting and see what happens (201B or 210H or something like that).
Also, make sure the air line is attached properly to the indexer and that the air to it is on.
Apparently I don't know anything, so please verify my suggestions with my wife.

tried putting in a different setting than the one I normally use with no luck ,
air supply is the same one to the machine at 100psi.
Still think it maybe the brake or encoder.
    Anyone have a manual?
    Thanks!

Verify the parameters in the control with the ones that came with your rotary. If you lost you parameters your local HFO should be able to get them for you.

    rotary

    Bob is most likely correct.
serial number is on a small plate lower left hand corner of rotary, confirm serial number with parameter list serial number. Local HFO or California could get them for you too. carefully go thru each one.
Leave air line not connected, and see if problem changes - if it does change- then yes brake related.
    good luck

    Thanks for the help !
I found the problem being the little screw that clamps the encoder to the
motor shaft broke allowing the motor to turn without the encoder.
I marked the encoder when I pulled it off but I do not know if the center has to be set at a certain rotation or does if find zero first from another sensor?
    Thanks Again!
