My z axis is down and the tool changer arm is against the covers of the z. It says arm OK when I try and do a recovery, atc forward or reverse does nothing. I cant re home/power up restart the machine or move the z up.

The Haas HFO people cant get someone here for over a week. This sucks.

Any ideas on how to move the tool change arm? I have done many tool change error recovery's in the past and this is different.

The machine is about 2 years old.

Ok its possible the amp is gone bad, but don't give up you can always talk to service at the factory and try to walk yourself through this. You might be able to move the tool arm in debug mode.

Waiting for Haas to call back.......

Haas called back. Walked through it. There is sensor on the pocket lift that needs changing.

Debug was the ticket for getting the arm off the z but the sensor wont let the tool pocket up.

They will try and get here soon.

hi if u want recovery the double arm , first u make setting 7 off , and press alarm msg button , type debug and write enter again press recovery button , press y , press M, THEN CONTINUESLY PRESS ATC reverse button, this condition arm slowsly comes reverse direction and appears arm origin on display
now recovered the arm and again do visa versa 'alrm msg' 'debug' setting7 on.
