    where to get aluminum parts

I've noticed several machines framed in aluminum gantry s and frames. Is there a source that has these parts, tubes rails that is good to deal with.
Since I'm reallynew to the cnc world are the cross bars that support the z axis several squre tubes bolted together or one tube or (I don't know how to name it other that a 2"x4"cross bar)
It'd hard to tell from a photo the sizes and structure of the material.
Hope this makes sense, thanks Wyndham

Hey Pointcloud, I'm a mud & mug slinger down here in Seagrove, have been for 25 yrs.
Still using the Prince Albert can to punch out the strawberry planter holes??
You folks go through more clay in a day than I see in a year.
    BTW
What sizes are commonly use in the Tslots for the CNC gantry's and tables and how are the prices per ft
Will they take pottery in trade
Thanks both for the 80/20 lead

You might get a better price from www.tslots.com I did at least or from Misumi if you are ok with metric. I found 80/20 horrible, no stock at any distributors and you cant order direct plus it took 3 months and an email to 80/20 to get a catalog from them which they also wont send direct, they send the request to distributors to send a catalog. I got tired of playing around with the crap middleman so I went to t-slots.

The ebay store is also way over priced, both on the extrusion and shipping.

Thanks for the Tslot link. I found a distributor about 30 miles away in Salisbury NC. Looks like they have some ball screws and other stuff as well.

    Wyndham,

I think you will be able to find eveything you are looking for on the misumi website. It will also allow you to configure the parts to your liking with no set up charge or minimum order.
