    Getting Reacquainted

My last post was in 2003.
I started my gantry machine last night to see what was not working.
it seems all is well. However my software is old. "Turbocnc" Dos version.
I see Windows base machines are the new thing.
So if I am going to upgrade which software and what should and should be done to a computer for it.
I was using Autocad for cad.

Bells and whistles are all well and good, but if TurboCNC worked for you back in 2003 what is it that you now need to do that needs more. I used to use TurboCNC on a couple of small Denford conversion projects I did, and I liked the way you could alter the program to suit your hardware.

I suppose that Mach3 and EMC are the two contenters nowadays but I've not personally used either.
