    J325 Spindle acting up

Hey, Tree-folk, I'm hoping there's someone wise to old hardware here.

I've got a Tree Journeyman 325 - 80's vintage with a Dynapath Delta 10 controller. I've had it about two years, love it, and it's always been a better machine than I am a machinist.

Had a problem jump up today, though. When I run a program the controller will execute to the first line, the spindle will then start running BACKWARDS at about 4 rpm. Nothing will happen after that. I can turn the spindle off with the spindle override knob. Otherwise to stop the spindle and get out of the program I have to push Motion Stop, and then Reset.

    Controller?

    Spindle Drive?

    Connector in between?

The spindle drive was replaced by the PO fairly recently and is a Fanuc.

    Thanks,
    Scott

False-alarm. The oiling system was low and had disabled the drive. I didn't know it did that.

Call me ignorant, but mildly smarter today. And very very happy!
