    Hi twp,

There is definitely a significant amount of excitement in the 3D printing community in regards to the TK-O. Unfortunately, we do not have an anticipated release date at this time. We hope to release it sometime next year (2013).

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to ask.

We are still finalizing the BOM. Here's a couple large prints I did over the weekend on one prototype I completed on Saturday:

We have built just a few prototypes so far. Real-soon-now we will be placing an order for 8 factory prototypes. After those are approved, we will go into larger production. If you don't mind used prototypes, we'll have those available earlier than the final released machines.

    Jeff / Jon (from Lulzbot),

Can you guys update the progress on the new machines and what new materials you are testing out?

do you have any material that compares to the Shapeways Nylon SLS ? I have found that stuff to be very strong, flexible, great heat resistance, etc. way better than the ABS or PLA stuff from other machines. Or is it just the SLS process altogether which gives the nylon polyamide material these strengths?

The TK-0 is under production at the moment. Details about the design are here:

We have printed with Nylon. It is great stuff. We will have it in our store soon. I don't know about Shapeway's nylon, so I can't compare it. This is the nylon we use:

We have also been using wood, which is a really interesting material to print!

Jeff, do you have any sources who would print me one of my stls using this 618 material?

I've already ruled out abs and pla..saw those prints..yuc.

It sounds like the 618 material may start to give sls printers a run for their money.what do you think?

I guess it depends what you didn't like about ABS/PLA. Can you be more descriptive?

These folks may be able to print Nylon, I'm not certain though:
