Hello everyone,
Just thought I post a link to my cable carrier video. It's a very simple design. Enjoy.

I like it, could you post the cad files here???

I agree.
Welcome aboard.
That looks very cool.
Echain has gotten a bit more affordable lately, but it can't rival that affordability if you already have the machine. You could easily cut out of different types of plastics.

Thar chain is awesome. I have found others, but this seems the simplist and not scews or fasteners. I would like to see g-code, and cad. Are you going to post? Great work!
I would love to see the DXF file too, and then it would help others as well down the road.
Nice job. Thanks for sharing..
Forget about global warming...Visualize using your turn signal!
I'm going to give it a go tonight I think, it really is a unique and elegant glueless design!
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing!
I'm confused though as to which part keeps the sides from falling off. I read on your youtube link's comments where you stated "No. I uploaded the video before finishing the mounting ends. The carrier ends have a double cross piece that holds everything in place. Thanks"
I watched the video carefully and have determined which part goes where (after looking at the dxf file) but the dxf doesn't show the "Double Cross Piece" or at least I'm not understanding which one it is.
Thanks for any clarity you could bring to this,

Perhaps I should have uploaded something more complete. The uploaded dxf doesn't include the ends either. I hope the pictures clarify how the carrier ends work. The second cross piece (looks like an upside down U) stops the previous cross section from sliding towards the end and allowing the sides to come apart. If you're interested, I can you the dxf for the ends.
Thanks

Thanks! That would be nice if I had the whole package and I truly appreciate you sharing.
Hello everyone,
The files below are the updated DXF files for the cable carrier including the carrier end file.
Thanks
rogerquin
Once again, thanks for sharing.
It's not mentioned in the files what thickness the materilal should be for all this to work, but best I can tell from measuring the dog-bone shaped openings in the side plates (which is 0.13") is suspect you made this out of 1/8" (0.125") material.
Am I correct?
Very nice job !
I register to cnc-zone, to get the dxf, and I think i will in a little time, make my own for my cnc machine.
Thank you very much for sharing !!!!
and Congratulation !!!
I liked your design so much after making the original size that I doubled the size to fit my router. In a way of saying thanks for your design I have uploaded a double size cable carrier.
Still uses 1/8" material and an 1/8" bit.
My DXF is in millimeters.
