Hi
I want to test a galil motion control driver MBA-6-60 and need to connect it to an old parvalux BL42 brushless motor but got no idea what wires to connect where. On the galil where do I connect the pots etc. The motor has 5 wires red, blue, green, white, black for hall sensors and red black and white for the motor. Would appreciate any help.
The Galil drive is basically a re-labeled A-M-C B12A6 drive.
the three motor power leads go to Motor A B C, power is 20-60vdc.
I imagine the motor halls are red blk power, and blue, green, white would be the halls?
I do not have any info on that motor, the hall supply can be taken from the P1-10 P1-11.
You need to supply a ±10vdc signal to the P1-4 P1-5 to test, a battery will work.
Initially connect the halls only, and turn the motor over by hand the ready light should stay green, if it changes to red then you have the sequence wrong.
If after connecting power you get strange control, then you may have to try the 6 combinations of the 3 power leads.
Go to the A-M-C site for the technical info.
