anyone have time to convert these to DXF? my dad is collecting machinery cut outs. thanks
jeff thank you so much! that came out excellent! i cant believe how well you got that. did you spend a lot of time refining it?what did you use to convert it? im only using the raster to vector converter within mastercam and i was not getting good results.i will post it once i cut it in our votec class soon. i noticed it was all small line segments is it possible to have your system output arcs?
Cherokeechief79,
The emblem was designed using your rendition as a reference only.
It took a hour or two to complete the new emblem.
Raster to Vector conversion software is not my first choice for designs that have mechanical elements for several reasons.
I do not see the small line segments you are referring to and don't own Mastercam, so there is no way for me to test compatibility issues.
Maybe the DWG format will work better for you, see attached file.
If not try this:
1: Select which lines you want to convert to arcs by clicking on them with your mouse.
2: Select “Edit.”
3: Choose “Modify.” A window will pop up.
4: Select “Simplify” from the window. The lines will convert to arcs.

I had to redo my post after seeing it wasn't too smart, I have purchased several of the Signtorch books and have used several of the images all which cut ok in wood, some better than others. I would like to know how they are made do you hand draw the images?
