One of the settings in Mach3 is "Look Ahead", by default it's too low a number! Set it to 200 lines or more!

    Thanks Bill!

Only worked in the shop for a fey hours this afternoon, but I did get the Red & Green LED's to operate as needed!
I used an "Ice Cube" relay & socket, it is a triple pole double throw switch with a 12-VDC coil.
    Now when I press the
E-Stop button the green LED goes off, the VFD's contactor de-energizes, and the red LED goes on!

On commercial machines, after releasing the E-stop, another button press is usually required to restore power. You don't want things turning back on as soon as you release the E-Stop button.

I think most VFDs will require a new command when repowered after power being cut.

Widgit: Is it all wired such that the estop is normally closed? I.e. the normally closed estop switch keeps the vfd contractor open and if you have a wire break or switch failure it will result in estop mode?

Each E-Stop has two NC switch blocks, one goes to the breakout board, the other to the relay. The relay is then active, and the contactor is in a closed circuit. A power failure would open the contactor!
As of today, the VFD is not connected, as I've been a little gun-shy because of the poor Chinese manual. A friend & fellow Zoner will be by tomorrow to help me figure it all out and get it powered up! As for the re-energizing of the VFD after E-Stop, well I'm not sure ??

On mine, there is a setting that you can make to switch between "non resume" and "resume" power after an outage.

The safe one of course is "non resume"

Today I removed the Z-Slide, and setup the mill to drill two deep holes for the work light wires. Then I milled two pockets in the end of the z-slide, then drilled & tapped some M3 holes to attach the LED's! Then I setup the z-slide on it's back, so I could put an intersecting hole on the inner surface. This way the wires will be behind the spindle motor, and plugged into a small Delrin block ( not made yet)! After deburring all the sharp edges, I installed the LED's, and temporarily hooked up the 12-VDC.

Sorry, poor phrasing on my part, I did mean contactor closed (power flowing to vfd). The way you have it wired sounds perfect.
