X3 spindle motor died - Any easy retrofit solutions?
Thanks in advance
I'm looking into a solution myself, looking at going either AC servo or a AC motor.
Syil hasn't been very helpful which is why im asking here. I really dont care whether or not I can control spindle speed with mach3, I just want my mill working again
Crap...now there are 3 users that have problem with this machine... just lost all power to my machine (X3 syil) and it appears to be the driver board for the motor. No light on the front panel and no control what so ever ...etc. had a problem like this when I first got it and the driver board had to be replaced. Haven't open it yet and I still hope that it is only the fuse that blew out. In case the board is at fault then i may have to either replace it with another one (if it can be found) or go with a more reliable solution. ...Most likely Syil of America will not help since they have already stop supporting the X3 and moved on to the X4,X5 & X7.... I bought mine from them and have not yet gotten in touch with them. I will be watching this thread.
