    new member with bobcad problem!

Hi everyone! I have v25 pro, I am making a part using 3d milling with the advanced rough pro cycle. The problem i am having is this.

    N1635G1X3.974Y1.428
    N1636G2X28.853Y1.428I12.454J-268611.178
    N1637G1X29.5Y1.438

Every so often through out the program i am getting to many digits on "J"
I don't know if this is a problem with bobcad itself or a setting withing bobcad, or if this is a post processor problem. i have tried using a different post processor but i still get the same thing. What am i missing here?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

Make sure you are not using a post from an older version in the V25 software , the posts have new variables added at each version release and if not recompiled by the post department may cause the output to be incorrect.

just contact bobcad support at 7274890003 to see if needs to be corrected.

I would love to call up bobcad support but they will not talk to me because we do not have a "support subscription". As for the post from a older version, i guess i am not totally sure what you mean, but i did check and the post processor i have downloaded is for v25. Thanks!!

Un-check arc-fit in the tool path wizard, see if that works
    OR
Upload a .zip file of a bbcd file and your PP

So un-checking arc fit worked ?
Make sure you are running the current build #996.Go to help/about Bobcad. If not go here BobCAD-CAM Software Updates | CAD/CAM Software | BobCAD-CAM
.zip a .bbcd file that is suspect so we can replicate the problem.

Well this was an issue that was suppose to of been fixed in build #996.
I don't quite follow why you are machining the way you are,,but that does not have anything to do with the software not working correctly. And you were not asking for ideas on machining strategy.
Maybe some more eyes will see something that I am not.
You do have a lot of choices though on how to machine this, thus avoiding this issue.Still not making excuses for the software though.

Well not knowing so much in the details, here is an idea of what could be done with some assumptions.First you have a rigid mill with horses, you have enough table travel, you are not doing a material where warpage will be a major factor. This is an example with out speeds and feeds set. Also for the angle a 120 degree tool for finish.

There are still quite a few more ways.

If you are using arc fit try tightening the tolerances for it .
