    Hello everybody

    I’d like to connect a CRT display to my notebook (hp with 15,4” monitor) via VGA-port for a better working with Inventor. And I’m going to operate it paralleling to the 15,4” one. Is it possible? If it is, then how? O I have to adopt anything?

    The notebook has Nvidia Ge Force4 440 Go 64M graphic card and an AMD Athlon 64 processor 3700+

    I’d appreciate your help very much.

    Regards, 4runner

    Hi

    If your graphic card hands it over…

    1. it has to have 2 video gates that can be used at the same time (one is attached to the own monitor)
    2. 2. Software has to be able to run the both monitors at the same time – which one is primary, where the desktop has to be etc. etc.

    Greetings Thomas

    Take a look backwards. A 3-rowed 15-pole port has to be there. And probably additionally a white 24+5-pole port. Still it can happen that the built in monitor and the external one will show the same things. Usually it stands in the manual.

    There’s a 15-pole-port… I’ll “contact” then the manual

    @myca

    I’ll test it at the weekend. We’ll see…

    Thanks a lot for your advices
