Inside the driver enclosure. Is it worth it to install another power supply to feed fans or do you just run them off of AC mains?
Thanks

I have used both, but if it calls for an extra supply I use the AC mains type.

Thanks Al. Just trying to limit the amount of AC components in the enclosure. However I did read that fans are pretty quiet from an interference standpoint.
The typical Muffin fan is quiet, if the environment is dusty etc, it pays to positive pressure the enclosure by placing an outside filter on a fan bringing air into the enclosure. Some kind of small exit is required.

I don't mean to highjack this thread, but I'm about ready to cut my controller box for my fans. Al, so if I have one fan pushing air in the case, does another need to be pushing air out or just any exit hole will do? Thanks!
Any means of exit works, I have fitted a small grill in some cases, the small type that is used with PC fans.
