Re: Homing, Offsets,Tool Change Pos and Fusion 360:)

I did get word back from John the other day.
He is testing the new BOB in a Pulsar now. If it works as it should, he will then get one sent to me. He mentioned that the issues I am seeing here could very well be with this BOB. I had some different trouble with it before and swapped out the PIC. That at least lets me know that I am not crazy. Well about this anyway.

New BOB is on the way. Thanks a bunch, John.
Should be here toward the end of next week. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I did receive the new Arduino BOB the other day and installed it today. Pretty straight forward. No tricky bits. I marked any wires that were not marked and just did the swap.
    It fired right up.

It would still not home correctly. I had Mach 3 version number 3.043.067 installed. I then reverted to version number 3.043.22. This time the machine homed correctly. Cool! However the spindle would not work. Hmmm.
After emailing John and getting a quick reply, I then decided to install version number 3.043.066. Now everything works as it should.
I will be able to test some code soon from Fusion 360. Yeah.

From what I hear, 3.043.057 or 3.043.062 are the most stable versions.

    Thanks, Gerry.
I don't have version 57, but do have 62. I will give that a try if I run into any more issues.

Yeah, you don't want to switch unless you're having problems.

Was that BOB/Arduino implementation your design?

Yes, I recommended the Arduino, and did the Arduino firmware. The rest is Novakons work.

I think I remember a page on the ArtSoft website where older versions were archived and available for download. I can't find it now. Does anyone know how to get versions different than the "lockdown" version?

I'd like to get a hold of 62.
