how to V-carving with ball mill

It seems like a common operation would be to v-carve with a ball mill but you cannot select a ball mill in this MOp or define one as far as I can tell. Is there a way to do this?

V-carving is meant to use a V bit. What are you trying to accomplish? You could of course tell it you are using a V bit and use a ball mill, but its not clear what you are after.

You might try using a tapered ball-end cutter, which has some of the advantages of both types. Here's a link to some I like: Tapered 3D C arving Tools

Sorry, that website is gone now... but I found a cached version on archive.org. I didn't even have the text in my own files on my computer, so here you go: https://web.archive.org/web/20130622...panel-tutorial
