I recently replaced my previous vfd with a new one that is more appropriately rated for my 6hp spindle but I'm having some issues with setting up the parameters. I attempted to follow the suggestions from djnuwa's post
here but i keep getting a "Motor Overload" error.
According to the manual these are the possible reasons:
1. The load is too large 2. Acceleration time is too short 3.Protection factor setting too small 4. Torque boost is too high.
Solutions:
1. Reduce load
2. Extend acceleration time ( I set this to 12s)
3. Increase the overload protection factor of motor ( I did adjust the overload protection and it gave me a different error "Inverter Overload")
4. Reduce torque boost (it's set at the minimum)
I've tried everything I can think of but I keep getting the same error. Does anyone have any experience with this particular vfd that can offer any suggestions?
If it helps here is the spindle info:
