Just kinda curious, has everyone that ordered skyfire machines received them?

Well if anyone still hasn't they're keeping very quiet about it.
Ian.
I have not received my order, its more than a year.
The CIA is probably more open about stuff than you guys are about these machines.
For such nice little machines, I would have expected more videos, pictures, parts, raves or rants about them by now. Not from you of course, Ian. We understand.

Mine as just arrived at my country custom waiting for clearance , I will fully review it in my youtube chanel
There is no news at all about my order from him, no email. I doubt if he continue on working on my order.

I had an order for an early SVM 0 early on that I then asked for some mods and as everyone knows the "sky fell down" - - no pun intended!! I evidently need to push on evmails to hopefully get something finely shipped - - - partially my bad as well cause I haven't been pushing on email or on this forum and a little ansy about more money on top of lots of bucks already at ongoing risk

hIIYA Lee, Believe what you want to believe but I spent almost a YEAR chasing that wives tail of USB drive and Mach3. I am 99.999% sure it is not related directly to the USB drive. Most times it was a background ap running or a virus scanner hitting teh USB every time it was plugged in. IF it was USB related then teh USB mouse, USB keyboard, Usbscanner,USB backup harddrive would be driving you crazy as well. (;-)
Just a thought, (;-) TP
Haven't seen any videos of making chips from the ones that have received their machine. louieatienza assured everyone that he would post updates in this thread: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/uncate...474-cnc-3.html that he started on 06-25-2015, 12:29 PM. But his last post was on 09-05-2015, 07:45 PM. So, it remains to be seen if the machines are any good.
You're gonna see many chips flying folks ! , for the one who still doubt about skyfire just take in consideration that it's not a 10 or 30 people team ( not yet lol ) so delay are relative to it for now , but i will teasing a little , skyfire team are working hard last month in the finishing of a big batch of mill from svm0 to svm2 including ATC type , they're putting a lot of time and effort in the standardization of the production to gain in efficiency they also moved to a new facility with more workspace etc... lot of work and news to come soon
Jips,
Did you visit the new facility? They are busy right now? do you have some picture?
I have a picture of just before the moving but i can ask for the actual
Hi Jips,
Can you post them?
The new facility
And some teasing :
still empty, no activity yet.
No they have recovery , this picture was shared several days now
Hi all........I think by now that if anyone doubts that the SVM mills are pie in the sky, seeing chips from just one or two of them won't mean a thing.
My personal opinion is that judging by the posts from day one, anyone who can arrive at the position the SKYFIRE team are presently at has to be on the level.
As for my self, I'm having lots of fun generating G code and watching the wheels go round as planned........I'm in no hurry to make chips .....the main reason for the purchase was to get into the CNC world and learn while having fun in doing so.......chips will eventually happen when I'm confident the G code is mastered.
BTW........by trial and error I learned that the Z zero setting device is one of the most useful tools for setting up.
I can't decide whether to set the Z height to the table surface or the vice base........setting zero to 50mm above the table means I have to do a calculation to allow for the table to vice base height and then the height of the parallel and then the top of the job.
If I set it to the vice base I lose the setting when the vice is removed and have to reset all cutters for the next job etc, so I think setting zero at 50mm above the table with the setting block on the table for each tool is more correct......the tool point will always be zero at 50mm.above the table, and I know that the vice base height is 43mm plus any parallel.
