Sure.
That's a ways off, like a few weeks or so. It's going to take me a week or more just to figure out the jigsaw puzzle. ("Where does this piece go?")

Question for those who have gone down this path before me. Did you paint the bottom of the tray?
I have two good coats on the inside, and a good coat on the sides. I'd think it doesn't get wet under there, but is that only if everything is perfect?

I didn't bother.
If the inside had a leak and the bottom was sealed the wood would stay saturated and rot vs being able to see where the leak was and the wood could air dry.

Hoss,
Is there a 3D drawing around anywhere of the G0704 and its base, as they come from Grizzly. I really just need the overall size and shape right, so I can pull the mill off the stand and raise it a bit.
I just did a quick 3D model of the chip tray, and I want to incorporate it into the 3D model of my shop - so I can have more confidence it all fits as I go forward. I built my shop model in '14, and just used a large rectangular block for the mill. Do any of the online sharing places have one?
Thanks,

I remember seeing a model someone created somewhere on CNCZone. You would need to do some digging to find it though.

I was searching the web for models - went to Thingiverse and Grabcad, and just found a place that sells models for $20. I don't mind paying for a model, but I'd probably create one for $20. (Retired = more time than money) While I was searching for images, I found a couple that linked to here on CNCZone, but when I followed the links, there was no model.
I don't know if it's worth spending too much time looking or just go sit down with a sketch pad and a tape measure.

In this thread: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/bencht...cam-forum.html the OP talks about having made a model. Perhaps he would share it with you.

Thanks - that's rather far beyond what I was looking for. He's taking his G0704 apart, milling off the dovetails are replacing them with linear rails. It's a complete redesign.
Considering how popular the mill is, I thought someone had probably put up a basic model of it. If I get a decent model together, I'll share it.

I have a question
I have an Automation technology 1100 watt brush-less motor kit I want to know if I can put the driver in the same enclosure as the other electronics ie stepper drives, bob ect?
Thank you
Joseph
Here's some of the stuff I've compiled over the last few months from odd corners of the internet. Compressed with 7Zip, if you have trouble uncompressing just download it (google) its free.
Note: The assembly files may be a bit garbled, so you're on your own for building the assembly if so. Its been a while so I'm not quite sure, but either way, enjoy!

Got it from the previous response, which appeared after my response.
Thanks!

Bill -
Can you supply some details on the motor? When you say 3phase, is that something you need a VFD for?
