Hello
I just finished building my CNC-Router.
And I made the stupid mistake of going big in the stepper department...
I bought a kit from eBay with 4 1200oz. Steppers and the DM860A drives supplied by 4 60V power supplies.
The problem is the speed. I can't get them over 1000mm/s which is way too slow for me.
They are coupled with 5mm pitch ballscrews
So now I am looking in to Leadshines products. More specific there two:
http://www.leadshine.com/productdetail.aspx?type=products&category=easy-servo-products&productype=easy-servo-drives&series=ES-D&model=ES-D808
http://www.leadshine.com/productdetail.aspx?type=products&category=easy-servo-products&productype=easy-servo-motors&series=ES-M&model=ES-M23440
My questions are:
Are there motors (4 Nm) powerful enough, for plastics and aluminium? Or should i get the 8Nm?
And shouldn't I be able to get at least 3000mm/s with there motors?
I have attached a picture of the machine so you can see how it is built.
Thanks in advance!
