Power supply for Zeiss Handysurf E-35A

Hey, guys. I was rummaging around in some old boxes the other day and found a Zeiss Handysurf model E-35A surface tester. My problem is the power supply is missing. The box is still there but all it says is 'AC power adapter'. I've searched high and low and cannot find the specs for the power supply anywhere. Judging by the size of the box it came in it looks like a simple wall-wart but I don't know the voltage or ac/dc output.

If anyone has one of these or even something similar I'd appreciate it if you could look on your power supply and tell me what the output is.

I think your first stop should be to contact Zeiss

does it not have any indication next to the DC in connector ?

if it has a LCD display
I suspect it could be 5V DC , assuming it runs from an internal 3.7V rechargable battery like you find in mobile phones

my first reaction is I would want a new tester for that !!!
but I see its a fraction of the cost of a Zeiss Handysurf E-35A
you need to obtain the service manual to see what it is
may be the power supply incorporates the charger control circuit

the cost of the power supply is comparable with a LEMO 3K.93C connector at £300 each - I'm glad my employer paid the bill
