conspiracy theories are just that THOERY , to think 911 or the likes to take control of oil feilds and what have you is rediculous , the impact of 911 hit hard on a lot of economies around the world ,
people worry about what everyone else is doing , especially when it comes to who has what for weapons , how much weaponry does the us government hold , does the rest of the world feel threatened by this ,guess what yes !
we live in a world that is fed by the media and its the same ol story people beleave what they are told , why because they are being given information thru the media by the people who are supposed to protect them (power heads) or by the pessimist who creates a theory based on little pieces they can put together to proove their twisted little idea , ,if you beleave we live in a time that thru television and communication we know everything that is happening around the world , well maybe , but we only hear one side of the story now don t we
i appreciate the fact i have a roof over my head , food on my plate and a bud in my hand ,and i won t get my throat slit for having an opinion
i don t have control over what happens in this world ,i only live in it
nobody can stand upon the highest tower wave their arms and change this world
big brother has been here for a while and he is going no where
bottom line is as long as the world has money power greed and idiots nothing will ever change
people have always been ruled by the fear of the unknown , the rulers sent fear to keep the people close , if the people are close they are easier to control , they'll beleave in their ruler even though atrocities are cast upon them , ,Why ? because there is more to fear from beyond

keep your eyes and minds wide open teach your kids to keep there eyes and minds wide open

and maybe a new day will dawn ,though i doubt it will

This is a quote although maybe not super accurate, and it was made in regards to the religion of the time. I believe it is apprapoe for government as well.

"The best thing the Devil ever did was to make people believe he wasn't real"

While for the most part conspiracy theories are a bunch of crud but, the best thing the government can do is to make something a conspiracy.

    pmino:

History and Purpose of the Amendment

The ratification of this Amendment was the direct consequence of the Court's decision in 1895 in Pollock v. Farmers' Loan & Trust Co., 1 whereby the attempt of Congress the previous year to tax incomes uniformly throughout the United States 2 was held by a divided court to be unconstitutional. A tax on incomes derived from property, 3 the Court declared, was a ''direct tax'' which Congress under the terms of Article I, Sec. 2, and Sec. 9, could impose only by the rule of apportionment according to population, although scarcely fifteen years prior the Justices had unanimously sustained 4 the collection of a similar tax during the Civil War, 5 the only other occasion preceding the Sixteenth Amendment in which Congress had ventured to utilize this method of raising revenue. 6

During the interim between the Pollock decision in 1895 and the ratification of the Sixteenth Amendment in 1913, the Court gave evidence of a greater awareness of the dangerous consequences to national solvency which that holding threatened, and partially circumvented the threat, either by taking refuge in redefinitions of ''direct tax'' or, and more especially, by emphasizing, virtually to the exclusion of the former, the history of excise taxation. Thus, in a series of cases, notably Nicol v. Ames, 7 Knowlton v. Moore, 8 and Patton v. Brady, 9 the Court held the following taxes to have been levied merely upon one of the ''incidents of ownership'' and hence to be excises: a tax which involved affixing revenue stamps to memoranda evidencing the sale of merchandise on commodity exchanges, an inheritance tax, and a war revenue tax upon tobacco on which the hitherto imposed excise tax had already been paid and which was held by the manufacturer for resale.

Because of such endeavors the Court thus found it possible to sustain a corporate income tax as an excise ''measured by income'' on the privilege of doing business in corporate form. 10 The adoption of the Sixteenth Amendment, however, put an end to speculation whether the Court, unaided by constitutional amendment, would persist along these lines of construction until it had reversed its holding in the Pollock case. Indeed, in its initial appraisal 11 of the Amendment it classified income taxes as being inherently ''indirect.'' ''[T]he command of the amendment that all income taxes shall not be subject to apportionment by a consideration of the sources from which the taxed income may be derived, forbids the application to such taxes of the rule applied in the Pollock case by which alone such taxes were removed from the great class of excises, duties, and imports subject to the rule of uniformity and were placed under the other or direct class.'' 12 ''[T]he Sixteenth Amendment conferred no new power of taxation but simply prohibited the previous complete and plenary power of income taxation possessed by Congress from the beginning from being taken out of the category of indirect taxation to which it inherently belonged.'' 13

#3 national ID card, long over due. the only peple that benifit by not having one, are those who are involved in illegal activities. If you have a bank account, credit card, trash pickup, cell phone...you have given away more pertinent personal information.......than a national id card will ever cause.
I here this allot but most people don't think of the ramifications of everything being so public. Have you ever had someone pick on you when you were a kid? If so think of what someone could do to you if they could get all of your seemingly innocuous purchases. Maybe you bought some private otherwise embarrassing medications (like herpes medication or genital warts or something else equally private) all these things will be public information once the national Id gets turned electronic. They would refer to it as "value added"

The National Id by itself isn't so bad but the fact that it is "required" leads to a totalitarian state. Ask a Jew that saw World War 2. All a cop would have to do is walk up and ask for your papers? Well gee I forgot them, bummer your going downtown until the nice police officer feels better about you.

And just because you don't break the law, never assume you have nothing to hide EVER. If you have ever been through a security background check you will know what I am talking about. I've passed numerous ones and let me tell you I always felt like a criminal after passing one! Don't know how many times you can be asked, "Is that the story you want to stick with?" No sir, its not a story its the truth.
    thanks

"The best thing the Devil ever did was to make people believe he wasn't real"

or reworded - the greatest lie/deception Satan ever performed was making people beleive he doesn't exist .. many people to this day do not beleive in hell as a place or as a ruler of hell, an ultimate evil and a father of lies named Lucifer, the fallen angel.

Yes - good analogy to government - the greatest lie large government ever
told was to make the people beleive they are loved and cared for by the big government who never intends to harm , totally control or tax to death and it doesn't have it's own agenda to use your tax dollars as it
sees fit, not as you see fit.

You don't purchase with a national id card. And they can get the same info now with your credit card or drivers license. The main difference is in the authenticity of the card and the "standard" of interoperability between states.

I used to worry about big brother, but now put it into a more reasonable perspective. Can bad things happen, absolutely. But in the perspective of none of us know if we will still be alive 15 minutes from now via natural or unatural causes, big brother is nothing more than a pimple.

As I said about the national Id. Its not any worse than a drivers license but making it illegal to be without it is the crime of the century.

As far is what is attached to the national Id Well that is just a worry of things to come, and yes I know that you can get that information from a license or SS. card and while this dosn't hold any demons for me it is certainly something that should not be. but again that is just a judgement.

chrono please don't "help" so much!
    thanks

Depends on what form it takes, the last that I knew it was going to be a state issued drivers license, just that all states were working to have a common standard. The non-drivers would then get the equivalent of the drivers license, but no driving identified in some form.

There are upsides of an ID card. Voter fraud can be greatly reduced, has the potential to make identity theft MUCH more difficult, same for protection of stolen credit cards, bogus checks, more secure online purchases............

A follow up: Public law 102 -13, was signed in 2005, not having an ID isn't illegal, it sets up a set of requirements for states drivers license requirements for state to implement if they want (the heavy hand of federal funding..., another reason for limiting the size of the federal government) http://www.callyourlawyers.com/pdfca..._realidact.pdf and http://www.ssa.gov/legislation/legis...in_051305.html and the burden of proof of non us citizens.

    http://www.verichipcorp.com/
Do you work for these people ? Did you buy a lot of stock in this company and are looking for that big payout for your retirement ?
Perhaps you read 1984 and were enthralled & enpassioned with it and it from then on became your personal quest to go forth and ID everyone for the national database.. yes, this must be done in order for the destiny to be fulfilled !! :violin: :tired: :drowning: :argue:

VeriChip offers the widest range of RFID security solutions and is the only company to offer both implanted and external options. Media is right all the time? Media isn't biased? You should belive everything you see on tv? Things are misconstrued, misunderstood, and mistaken for others. I saw zero facts presented in those videos. I saw a bunch of people saying what they THOUGHT happened. I saw people with little knowlege of what really happened speaking out their rears. What I didn't see was any real evidence. I won't point you to the debunking sites as I'm sure you probably already know about them.

Not really man - NASA is a government org. and your tax dollar pays for it ..
If they are performing very poorly, just like when we get downsized because it looks good on the bottom line and your not in the top 10% of manager ass kissers, in similar fashion should gov.'t orginizations be reviewed for spending..
but that's a long cry from reality --

NASA has had huge funding cuts, some of the Mars explorer bots are running on simple things like the Intel 8088 microprocessor ( probably for stability and less things to go wrong and that it's proven consistency over long term useage) -- not custom, exclusive things like they probably used to.

Your representative taxation - voting fraud .. -- software in the electronic machines that is easily rigged through algorithms -- related to the thread topic title of 'feeling a little overtaxed'

As a tax paying change of topic, the Iraq war costs US about $250 million dollars every week -

Here is Clinton (not sure how credible he is, after all he was impeached and lied to the American public on national TV to protect himself ) speaking that Cheney and gang had already made up there mind to go to Iraq no matter what regarding Saddam , WMD , 911 , etc -- and this part is beleiveable, at least to me, because now he doesn't really have to protect himself as much because he's more out of the limelight, but he's probably still trying make his push to take the office Kofee Annon now holds.

Whether or not I have been pulled in isn't really what's the point here --

You and maybe a few others out of the thousands of members on this board are the only ones commenting on these videos .. I would like to see some other opinions .. Perhaps most people don't care about taxes and would rather focus on CNC --- I would like to here some opinions about taxes from people currently living in Great Britain, since this country was started mostly from people coming from there....
