That's odd with with the PWM, this happened in UCCNC 29 maybe something changed with the newer versions. Will check to confirm.
If not getting a connected window than somethings wrong, let me take a look and try to trouble shoot. Been using 97 past few days with Amp read enable with no problems.
I don't have the amps enabled, maybe that has something to do with it?
I'm running UCCNC 1.2037

I just tried with amps disabled and worked perfectly, It's important to go to the HY configure window and hit the save settings and restart when switching between different versions. I just DL the plugin from site to Double check I didn't mix them up again. I don't think so though.
I tried many times both ways with amps and been using these passed few days flawlessly with UCCNC 33 so this is very baffling. Just got back to comp and going to load UCCNC 37. I did check with the PWM and once UCCNC restarted the max rpm was set to 11880 with the step and direction spindle setting with 33.
The 97 version does not work at all.
I went in and resaved the settings, but it made no difference.
I can go back to 95, and it works, then back to 97, and it doesn't.
97 is not connecting to the VFD. The window never comes up.

That sux, I just loaded UCCNC 37 and had no issues and expected to come back and read alls good. Going to have to do some back tracking to determine the problem, it's always tougher debugging when the problems on other comps and not mine.
Thanks,
Dan
Just a little more detail.
95 was running fine.
I copied the 97 .dll into the plugins folder.
Start UCCNC.
No Connection message.
Go to Config Plugin, and save ports, and save motors.
restart UCCNC.
No Connection message.
Close UCCNC.
Copy 95 .dll into plugins folder
Start UCCNC
VFD Connected, and spindle starts and works fine
Close UCCNC.
Copy 97 .dll into plugins folder.
Start UCCNC.
No connection again.
The 95 plugin seems to work fine, although my VFD response is lagging slightly now, when it didn't before.
But the 97 plugin does not seem to be connecting to the VFD.

Thank you for details/help. Fortunately for me i was able to immediately determine last night what my very stupid problem was once I looked at code. The message box is in a static method being called from another class in static method. The connection window is the problem.
I test on Windows 8.1 64 bit with serial port monitor but disable window because that comp isn't connected to VFD, than bring to machine comp(win xp) and actually test how it functions. Surprisingly Windows XP 32 bit didn't care about this error and plugin worked perfectly. Once I forced messagebox window to display on win 8.1(it didn't) I was able to see the problem you're experiencing.
I'm off to work now and will clean this up and repost tonight when I get home.
Thanks for your help,
Dan
I should have added that I'm using Windows 10 Pro, x64.
Glad you found it.
I have a wedding to go to today, so can't do anything until tomorrow anyway.

I did some checking and did do the PWM check box with apply and save again. Still no motion on the spindle.
I took some screen shots to see if that would help in the troubleshooting.
See attached PDF.
Thanks again for all of the help

As I said last night, version 1.00097 is broken. Try using the 95 or 96 versions.
When you start UCCNC, you should see a pop up window saying the VFD is connected. If you don't get this window, it won't work.

I installed 95 with no change.
Interesting, I wasn't aware of a pop-up. I am not getting any pop-up on startup of UCCNC. I am wondering if I should uninstall and reinstall everything.
Did you go into the plugin and reconfigure it:
In the plugin, when you click "Press for available Ports", does it find your port?
And are you clicking both the save port, and save settings (calibrate in older version)?
Then restart UCCNC.
Did you change the VFD settings as stated in the .txt file. There are 5 or 6 VFD settings that you have to change.
If you're not getting a popup window as soon as UCCNC starts, then the plugin is not setup right, or not communicating with the VFD.

Gerry,
When I configured the plugin earlier it did find the port when I clicked available ports. It matches what I expected to see. These were saved and then UCCNC restarted. I had also verified all of the pid settings outlined in the document with my VFD and everything was appropriate.

Bob
Hey Bhouin sorry for your troubles, all settings look good other than your using HY97 that I recently discovered had a problem thanks to you and ger21. I didn't get a chance to fix yet and you should use HY95 like ger21 suggested and is for now the latest recommended version.
Follow the step by step in setup instructions in HY95 zip file and you shouldn't have a problem.

Sorry missed this 1.
Since you posted in your background you were controlling your Huanyang VFD with a RS485 connection in Mach3 I'm assuming you have that setup correctly. I'm also assuming you're using a typical China spindle 400hz/24000 rpm by settings you posted.
What Huanyang plugin were you using for connection with Mach3? The Le royaume Huanyang plugin you had a choice for VFD address in the Huanyang VFD settings (PD163), this setting needs to be 1. Yes, you should get a "Connected" window on start up like ger21 already pointed out, make sure this window isn't buried behind other windows because the plugin won't start until you hit ok. If you close UCCNC you will never see this window.
Dan
.
Hi Gerry, would you mind if I emailed you HYPLUGIN with the connection window fixed?
I just cut a part and know it's working well but don't have your screenset loaded in machine comp yet, it has a old version of Win XP and plan on updating OP than will install, but didn't get around to it yet. I want to make sure all working good on that end.
Dan
Yeah, that's fine. Send it over and I'll go out and test it.
I'm going to create a new profile from scratch to make sure It's set up properly.
