    melbourne tool supplier

    Hi guys,

looking for advice on tooling suppliers for small, quality end mills 6mm and under around the Melbourne area.

I'm about done rewiring the new (mill, engraver, router, machining center) what ever it's proper name is for single phase operation -
and am about to fire it up for some testing, but I ain't got no tools, except for about 1000 carbide 3mm 60 deg chamfer bits that came with it.
these aren't going to be much help with commissioning.

    Cheers
    Simon

    Ausee Machines & Tools

Dandenong. Mostly chinese imported stuff. All I've bought from them so far is a 20mm die wrench and the quality was better than the one that came in my set. Beyond that I can't vouch for them

    Thanks mate,
will be starting up tonight - if there's any dramas, ill be blaming you.

Also, if you can get the distance setting pieces for the bits, i'll buy a shirt ton of ya, and also the depth setting tool for said bits.

    Cheers

    Ali Express for cheap tools.
I use them for 316 and they are fine. I tend to use the cheap ones at a few bucks each which are what is sold here for 5x the mark up and then use expensive tools such as Sandvick and Iscar for the last passes to finish the part.
No point killing a $100 tool for roughing, when a $4 tool will do it.
