Hi,
what you you need from the spec sheet?
Is there something about the stepper that you cannot measure or otherwise deduce?
Craig
It look llike that motor from China , do you want to get a new pcs one ?
Hi,
Rubbish, it is a two phase Vexta stepper made by Oriental Motor Co, Japan......its as good as stepper motors get.It look llike that motor from China
My mini-mill is powered by Vexta 5 phase steppers and ultra low lash planetary gear reductions and Vexta drives....all absolutely superb.
Craig
Thank you for your help.
I need to change this engine, and I don't know which features to analyze for the purchase ..... What should be analyzed to buy an exactly identical engine
Hi,
Why? Vexta steppers are class leading quality, if its not broken then is there need to change it?I need to change this engine, and I don't know which features to analyze for the purchase
Steppers follow NEMA size recommendations. Is it a 17 size, 23 size, 34 size? By that I mean 1.7 (or 2.3 or 3.4) inch across the flats
of the mounting flange? Thereafter just about any stepper will work. If you want to use it for CNC purposes and therefore want it to run
fast then you MUST select a low inductance replacement.

The stepper motor is defective so I must replace it.
But there are other parameters besides their dimensions, such as torque, phase, number of wires, pitch. Or not?
The spec's on the motor will get you started, volt/current , the No. of wires is 4 for Bi-polar, more than 4, Unipolar.
I have the Vexta Cat. going back to 1994/95 but does not show that model.

Thanks,,,, AL
What characteristics should I observe to choose an equal step motor?
It is a little hard without knowing the full specs of the motor, but there are guides on the Gecko site that may be of help.
