I've been asked to quote on a job using aluminum bronze (C954). I've heard horror stories but have had no personal experience. Is flood coolant required? Any comments regarding DoC/feeds/speeds, tooling, etc.?

60 pct machinability rating. Lots of tool pressure and picks up heat. So coolant and a very rigid machine help.
Like most hard materials, easy to get a good finish.
Tapping with steel taps not fun. 3 to 4 holes is all I ever got on a tap. Better lube than I have may help. When the tap starts squealing I back out.
Deep parting on a manual lathe, not if I can help it.
I pretty much needed a new saw blade to cut it.

The customer is supplying the stock so I don't care about the cost of material and there are no drilled/tapped holes -- only profile cuts and shallow pockets. Any suggestions regarding feeds and DoC?
