You need a working hard drive.
You can use the controller to format the hard disk:
Press and hold the MOD button when turning on.
Select formatting from the menu.
When done, the HEIDENHAIN system must also be installed.
You can download it from HEIDENHAIN at this link:
https://product.heidenhain.de/JPBC/i...C/28064115.zip
When you're done, all you need to do is get the original backup from the machine tool builder ...
You can use TNCremo to reload:

Always back up your machines! TNCremo can help you with this as well.
Hi! does this also apply to LE430M? when booting up, holding MOD will enter boot mode for diagnosis? I am having similar problem, my backup floppy are corrupted, no matter what I do with ddrescue on linux, I still got corrupted .bck file which is compressed, then, hard to decompress manually, tncback x.BCK G does not regenerate back the ,LST file as it is corrupted...
Now I got a pair of PATA SLC CF, mine uses 2.5 HDD, so with a adapter, it fits well into the TNC430, should I format it on FAT16, or let the controller format it, then add files later?
Thanks!
